Building and exiting a CPG brand successfully is one thing.

Doing so in a relatively new category is quite another.

Jennifer Barney did just that. She founded Barney Butter in 2006 - well before Almond Butter went mainstream - and exited in 2011.

Today, Jennifer is a go-to advisor to emerging food brands like Hero Bread and Oat Haus, an Entrepreneur-in-Residency at General Mills’ venture studio, and a Substack author (The Business of Food is packed with invaluable CPG insights).

Jennifer joined Shelf Help to dive into "velocity vs distribution", sourcing "from the source", the food service channel, Amazon, and bootstrapping.
